COVID-19 cases Exceed 38,000 in Afghanistan

The Ministry of Public Health announced that 55 new coronavirus cases have been registered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 38,054 in Afghanistan.

In the past 24 hours, 248 suspicious coronavirus cases were tested in the laboratories, in which, 55 cases turned out positive, the Ministry said in a statement.

The new cases were reported in Kabul, Herat, Nangarhar, Daikundi, Ghazni and Kunar provinces.
According to the Ministry, 149 patients have been recovered in the past 24 hours. The total number of recoveries has reached 28,360 so far.
Meanwhile, two patients died of the virus. The total number of deaths has reached 1,389 nationwide.
