COVID-19 Cases Soar to 27,532 in Afghanistan
The Ministry of Public Health announced Thursday that 658 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in the country, bringing the total number to 27,532.
The Ministry of Public Health announced Thursday that 658 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in the country, bringing the total number to 27,532.
“658 new positive coronavirus cases have been registered in the country and therefore, the total number of infections has reached 27,532,” said the Ministry in a statement.
Kabul, Herat, Nangarhar, Kandahar and Paktia have the highest number of infection.
According to the Ministry, 42 patients died from the virus in the past 24 hours.
This is the highest number of deaths which have been reported in the past 24 hours so far, as the total number of deaths reached 564 in Afghanistan.
At the same time, 1,502 patients have been recovered in the country which makes the total number of recoveries at 7,660 nationwide.
