Covid-19 cases Soared to about 38,000 in Afghanistan
The Ministry of Public Health announced Sunday that 46 new positive coronavirus cases were registered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 37,999 in Afghanistan.
In the past 24 hours, 281 suspicious Covid-19 cases have been tested in the laboratories, in which, 46 cases were turned out positive, the Ministry said in a statement.
The new cases have been registered in Herat, Balkh, Bamyan, Takhar, Badghis, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Maidan Wardak and Farah provinces.
According to the Ministry, in the past 24 hours, 221 patients have been recovered, and the total number of recoveries has reached 28,211 across the country.
At the same time, 2 patients died of the virus. The total number of deaths has reached 1,387 so far.
