The Ministry of Public Health announced Friday that 542 new cases were registered in the country, bringing the total to 9,216.
“542 positive cases were recorded in different provinces during the past 34 hours which brings the total cases to 9,216,” the Ministry said in a statement.
According to the ministry, 58 coronavirus patients have been recovered in the past 24 hours. The total is 993.
“12 patients died during the past 24 hours, the total deaths from the virus in the country is 205 so far,” the statement added.
The capital Kabul with 316 has recorded the most cases while Herat is in the second place by registering 47 new cases in the past 24 hours.
