A source under the condition of anonymity told DID press agency that “if the government does not release Nezamuddin Qaisari, we will hold a massive demonstration in Kabul”.
The fans of Junbish-e Milli and the National Coalition for the Salvation of Afghanistan (NCSA) launched demonstrations in a different part of the country after the army commandos arrested Nezamuddin Qaisari, a commander close to General Dostum in northern Faryab province.
The demonstrators urged the government to release Qaisari and pave the ground for general Dostum to return to the country.
However, a spokesman for the Junbish party announced that the second VP Sarwar Danish met with general Dostum in Ankara and that Mr Dostum will soon return to the country.
This comes as the central government released the bodyguards of Qaisari on Friday.
