Deputies to Afghan House of Representatives Elected
Amir Khan Yar and Ahmad Shah Ramazan were elected Tuesday as the first and second deputies to the House of Representatives, following a two-day election process.
Amir Khan Yar and Ahmad Shah Ramazan were elected Tuesday as the first and second deputies to the House of Representatives, following a two-day election process.
During an election process, Amir Khan Yar elected as first deputy by obtaining 131 votes while Ahmad Shah Ramazan with 119 votes elected as the second deputy to the House of Representatives.
The MPs, meanwhile, could not elect the secretary of the House of Representatives.
The House of Representative, however, has not been operation as nearly nine months have passed since the parliamentary elections were held while some candidates stage protest in Kabul, criticizing the election results.
