President Ghani said that he has tried to destroy power monopoly in the past three years of his rule and has shaped Afghanistan to a new one with a new generation.

Speaking on the 21st JCMB in ARG on Wednesday 18 July, President M. Ashraf Ghani talked about changes in all fields.
“now, a new Afghanistan is emerging with a new generation with my presence in the office. The new generation has the ability to lead and manage the country well,” Ghani said. “the new generation wants reforms and lasting stability. The new generation has tasted the price of war before and after the ceasefire,” he added. “now, an international and regional consensus has been formed about the peace process and the world has understood that the people of Afghanistan want a lasting peace,” Ghani stressed.
“Our previous generation wanted peace from others but the new generation wants peace from themselves and emphasizes on Afghan-owned negotiation,” president Ghani continued.

This comes as the US president Trump has ordered his diplomats to hold direct talks with the Taliban.
Meanwhile, President Ghani further said: The world has realized that the war in Afghanistan is complex and of various dimensions, and everyone has come to the conclusion that win-win benefits for Afghan peace are possible.
“the people of Afghanistan proved they are tired of war and confided with each other during three-day eid,” he added.
“this generation has hope for a bright future and wants to take the control of the affairs,” Ghani continued, saying the nation does not want to go to the history jail.

Addressing to political parties, Ghani said that people have reached to political consciousness and the parties should pay attention to the will of the people.
Some political parties in the country have asked for the invalidation of the voter registration process, calling it corrupt on Saturday.
“the people of Afghanistan want the election to be held on time and the government is determined to hold the election on its scheduled time,” the president said.
