District police Chief Killed in Ghazni


Road side-bomb killed Jeghato district police chief of Ghazni province Ishaq Jalili on Thursday morning.
According to DID news agency report, Ishaq Jalili, Ghazni’s Jeghato district police chief along with two of his bodyguards were killed as a result of a road side bomb in “Muhmand hill” when going to Ghazni city from his duty place.
It is worth mentioning that in the past few months, this is the second police chief who are being killed by insurgents. Former police chief of Jeghato district Manzor Hussian has also been killed nearly two months ago in an ambush of armed insurgents.
Ghazni is one of the most insecure provinces in the country. Civilians and military personnel are occasionally being killed in the province.
“Local officials of the province have repeatedly urged the central government to pay more attention to the security status of the province, but they still ignoring it.” A security source who asked to remain unknown said.
