Dr Abdullah Departs for Iran

Heading a high-level delegation, Abdullah Abdullah, head of High Council for National Reconciliation (HCNR) left Kabul early Sunday morning for Tehran.

Dr Abdullah will discuss the Afghan peace process, regional support, and bilateral issues with Iranian dignitaries, Sapidar palace said in a statement.

During the visit, Abdullah will meet with Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani, FM Mohammad Jawad Zarif, speaker of the parliament, and leadership of the security sector.
The head of HCNR has previously traveled to Pakistan and India where he exchanged views on Afghan peace process.
