The chief executive of the Afghan government Abdullah Abdullah says that efforts ongoing to create a single stance to lead the peace process.
“There are discussions going on to make peace efforts united and create a single authority to lead these efforts with the advice of (political leaders),” said Abdullah on Sunday during a ceremony marking the World Tuberculosis day in Kabul. “this single authority in the peace process will raise the united voice of the people of Afghanistan, a voice of peace and stability with the preservation of people’s rights,” he stressed.
He noted that the majority of the people of Afghanistan wants peace.
On Saturday, however, president Ghani met with Hamid Karzai, Abdul Rab Rasoul Sayyaf, Sarwar Danish, Abdullah Abdullah, and Karim Khalili at the presidential palace to create a determined address for peace talks.
