The Independent Election Commission granted credentials to electoral agencies and civil community on Tuesday.
Electoral institutions can monitor the electoral process on the basis of article eighty-three of the election law, according to the election commission.
Meanwhile, in accordance with article twenty of the electoral law, representatives of political parties, civil society, the general media, national and international observers are able to attend the commission’s public hearings on the condition of holding credentials.
According to the article eighty-three of the law, the supervisors and observers have the right to obtain a credential from the commission to access their rights.
However, electoral bodies and political parties accused the election commission of being incompetent, saying that as long as the presidential palace interferes in the commission’s affairs, the upcoming elections will be full of fraud as the previous election.
It is noteworthy the independent election commission has recently vowed the parliamentary and district councils’ election will be held a few months later in the year 1397 (solar year) or 2018.
