“An emergency committee to be formed to manage the prevention of coronavirus outbreak as well as taking timely decisions and measures,” said President Ghani in the verdict.
According to the verdict, the committee will work under the chairmanship of the second vice president M. Sarwar Danish with the membership of the qualified representatives of the related-departments.
The committee is required to set up a committee of epidemiology scientists. The committee of epidemiology scientists in consultation with experts from the Ministry of Public Health and the World Health Organization must carry out the necessary investigations to prevent the spread of the virus, read the verdict.
According to the decree, Twenty-four government agencies and bodies are members of this committee.
It is worth mentioning that the number of positive coronavirus cases in Afghanistan has reached 22 in Herat, Dikundi, Badghis, Balk, Paktia and Kapisa provinces.
