Mr Zarif added that his country wants expansion of bilateral cooperation and considers establishment of peace and stability as an important priority.
Iran, Afghanistan’s western neighbor, has always emphasized the leadership and ownership of the Afghan government and people in the peace process.
Acting FM Haneef Atmar, meanwhile, met with the Pakistani ambassador in Kabul and discussed a range of issues.
According to the ministry of foreign affairs’ statement, Atmar’s talks with the Pakistani ambassador focused on security and co-operation in the fight against Coronavirus.
