General Murad Ali Murad on Saturday formally introduced as the new commander of Kabul Garrison Command, earlier, he was dismissed as the deputy interior minister for security.
Gen. Murad Ali Murad was formally introduced as the new commander of Kabul Garrison Command during a ceremony, attended by high-level security officials on Saturday 23 June.
Deputy spokesman for the ministry of interior Nusrat Rahimi confirmed that Gen. Murad has been appointed as the new commander of Kabul Garrison Command.
Gen. Murad has said that there had been a space between the people and the Kabul Garrison, but he will try to get back people’s trust to this security entity.
“Unfortunately, people do not have a good image out of Kabul Garrison. We want to wash out such wrong image from the people’s minds,” said Gen. Murad.
This comes as Gen. Murad has been dismissed from his post as the senior deputy interior minister for security following a suicide attack in western Kabul.
