The UK’s chief of the Defence staff general Nick Carter met with NUG’s executive officer Abdullah Abdullah on Saturday, Abdullah’s office said in a statement.

The UK’s chief of the Defence staff general Nick Carter met with NUG’s executive officer Abdullah Abdullah on Saturday, Abdullah’s office said in a statement.
According to the statement, the two sides discussed Afghanistan-UK relations, security issues, the peace process, election and UK’s support to Afghan forces.
The visit comes as the biggest NATO member is planning to withdraw half of its troops from Afghanistan.
