Ghani, Wells Discuss Sanctions against Iran and its Influence on Chabahar port

President Ghani met with Alice Wells, the US’s Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs on Sunday at the Presidential Palace.
The two sides discussed US sanctions on Iran and its influence on Chabahar port, the Presidential Palace said in a statement.
According to the statement, president Ghani and Wells had good discussions regarding these issues.

The statement added that the results of the discussion will be shared later with the people.

The United States is expected to impose new sanctions on Iran. The US sanctions against Iran will affect Afghan business issues through Chabahar port.
