“National Unity Government has distributed about 4 million fake tazkira in different provinces,” said Lalai Hamidzai, the representative of Kandahar province in Wolesi Jirga on Wednesday.
According to Hamidzai, as many as 26,000 people have participated in the registration process, but the election commission has announced the number of voters at 2 million, which is a clear sign of counterfeiting.
Meanwhile, Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi called the election an important national process and emphasized that the government is supposed to provide the ground for people to participate in this important national process.
Referring to the claims expressed by the representatives, the head of the parliament said the upcoming election should be held in a way that “we should not witness another new controversy in relation to the elections”.
