Hanif Atmar to Attend Moscow Summit

The presidential runner from the “Peace and Moderation” electoral ticket Mohammad Hanif Atmar has recently said that Moscow summit is an important step towards initiating an inclusive intra-Afghan dialogue.


The presidential runner from the “Peace and Moderation” electoral ticket Mohammad Hanif Atmar has recently said that Moscow summit is an important step towards initiating an inclusive intra-Afghan dialogue.

“We, along with a group of leaders will participate at Moscow summit,” Atmar twitted. “we will defend the Islamic Republic System, values of the constitution and safety of the institutions as shared achievements and legacies in Moscow”.
“We will also accentuate on an inclusive intra-Afghan dialogue, including the Afghan government,” he added.

Mr. Atmar also asked the government not to look at the peace process from the government’s tight gate and to respect the role of the political spectrum as well as the nation in the peace process and upholding the system and national institutions.

The second Moscow conference will be held on Feb. 5-6 to discuss the peace process.
Former president Hamid Karzai, Ata M. Noor, Ismail Khan, Wahdat party led by Mohammad Mohaqeq, Hezb-e Islami led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, former Taliban ambassador to Pakistan Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef, Hekmat Karzai and Shah Nawaz Tanai are also among the faces, who have been invited to the meeting.
