According to the officials, the clashes began at around 1:30 am (local time) and clashes currently ongoing in some parts of the city.
“Security forces are repelling the Taliban attack on some parts of Kunduz city; their top priority is to protect the civilians. As always the Taliban have taken positions in civilian areas,” twitted Sediq Sediqi, a spokesman for the presidential palace.
Two rockets hit a hospital in Kunduz city and a car was set on fire, said local sources.
The local sources say that civilian and military injuries have been evacuated to this hospital but the exact number is not yet clear.
