Hekmatyar Travels to Uzbekistan amid Peace Process

Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, the leader of Hezb-e Islami Afghanistan on Monday went to Uzbekistan regarding peace process.
A member of Hezb-e Islami party told the media, the trip was of high importance as far as the peace process was concerned. However, he gave no more details.
Earlier, Mr Hekmatyar, during a press conference in Kabul, criticised the peace advisory board formed by the Afghan government and accused the government of playing with the peace process.
Hekmatyrar’s trip to Uzbekistan comes at a time when the representatives of Taliban, US, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are meeting in Abu Dhabi.
