Hina Khar Visits Torkham border
DID Press: Pakistan’s minister of state for foreign affairs visited Torkham border between Afghanistan-Pakistan, urging ease of crossing for Afghan people with respect.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson said in a statement that Hina Rabbani Khar visited Torkham border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
“Received briefing on measures to streamline and ease crossing for people and goods,” said the statement.
During the visit, Ms. Khar Urged facilitation of Afghans with respect and care.
She also stressed expeditious completion of Integrated Transit Trade Management System (ITTMS).
The visit from Torkham border by a top Pakistani diplomat comes as terrorist attacks has risen since the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan.
It is worth mentioning that Afghan authorities consider Torkham as Durand line and not an official border.
