On Monday afternoon, the acting defense minister Asadullah Khalid along with Abdulmatin Beg, the general director of independent local organs, and the Resolute Support Commander General Scott Miller visited Faryab to assess the security situation of the province.
During the trip, Khalid emphasized that Faryab security and development programs are at the heart of attention and is one of the basic priorities of the government and security forces.
“Offensive operations over the positions of insurgents will bring the hardest casualties to the enemy and these operations will continue,” he underlined, adding that problems of Maimana – Andkhoy highway will be resolved as soon as possible.
