Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Pakistani Embassy’s Counselor for clarifying recent comments made by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on establishment of a new government in the near future.
“The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan expressed its serious objection to the government of Pakistan and called such utterances as clear intervention in its domestic affairs,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
On Friday, Imran Khan said that the peace process would result in stability, trade and economic prosperity for the region.
“A good government will be established in Afghanistan, a government where all Afghans will be represented. The war will end and peace will be established there,” Imran Khan told a big public gathering in northwestern Bajaur tribal district on the Afghan border.
