Kabul Invites Islamabad again; Let’s Directly Talk

“Today, I received Pakistani NSA at Dilkusha palace. As a follow-up to Kabul Process, I have extended an official invitation to Pakistani prime minister to visit Afgha¬nistan. This is to initiate state to state comprehensive dialogue,” president Ghani tweeted after the meeting.
A statement issued by the Afghan presidency said that during the meeting between President Ghani and Mr. Janjua, both sides discussed on peace offer of Afghanistan to Taliban and initiating comprehensive talks with Pakistan.
Considering the importance and influential connection and regional cooperation especially between the two states, they discussed criminal drug trafficking and the activities of terrorist networks and ways to combat them.
Although Pakistan has supported Mr. Ghani’s peace offer for negotiation with Taliban, Islamabad is accused of supporting terrorist networks and harboring them by Kabul and Washington.
During the meeting, president Ghani invited Pakistan to visit Kabul for the state to state peace negotiations.
This is not the first time that state to state negotiation is posed by Ashraf Ghani but once again this issue has raised to end Pakistan’s intervention in Afghanistan affairs and its support for terrorism.
The Pakistani government has not yet commented on the issue and the trips of the officials have not had tangible results
