The Central Audit Commission (CAC) of the House of Representatives has announced that Abdullah Habibzai, the acting head of Kabul Municipality will be introduced to the Attorney General’s Office for corruption and non-accountability.
“the letter of introducing the acting head of Kabul municipality is prepared and will be sent to the attorney general office on Thursday,” said Abdul Hafiz Mansuri, the chairman of the CAC during a press conference.
Abdullah Habibzai is accused of corruption and non-accountability to the attorney general.

Mr. Mansour said that the owners of 210 residential houses in Dasht-e-Barchi – west of capital Kabul – complained to the commission that the acting head of the Municipality had brought their houses under the map, bringing a change in the master plan of a subordinate road.

The adjacent road will be built 40 meters wide from Kabul’s Campany to Barchi’s main street.
This comes as some members of the National Council had previously complained over the non-accountability of the acting head of Kabul municipality.

According to them, Abdullah Habibzai is a person close to president Ghani, for this reason, he is hardly accountable to the two commissions of the National Assembly.
