Khalilzad Arrives in Kabul

US special representative on Afghan peace process Zalmay Khalilzad arrived in Kabul on Monday, sources said.

Zalmay Khalilzad will meet with President Ashraf Ghani, chairman of High Council for National Reconciliation Abdullah Abdullah to speed up the peace process.

Khalilzad’s trip to Kabul comes as the withdrawal process of foreign forces from Afghanistan has been officially started and the US bases are being handed over to Afghan national defense and security forces.
