Legitimate Government is Result of Fair, Transparent Election: ECC’s Chief
Afghanistan’s Electoral Complaints Commission (ECC) president Abdulaziz Aryayi met with the ambassador and permanent representative of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to Afghanistan on Monday.
Afghanistan’s Electoral Complaints Commission (ECC) president Abdulaziz Aryayi met with the ambassador and permanent representative of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to Afghanistan on Monday.
During the meeting, the chairman of the ECC said that “a legitimate government is the outcome of a transparent and fair election”.
The ambassador and permanent representative of OIC said that OIC is determined to help Afghanistan to reach a permanent peace.
“preparations have been taken to hold the election,” the ECC president stressed.
The Afghan parliamentary election is scheduled to be held on Oct. 20.
The OIC has 57 members which it officially began its mission in Afghanistan last year.
