(Major National Coalition of Afghanistan) to Declare Existence in Kabul: Ata M. Noor

The chief executive of Jamiat-e Islami part Ata M. Noor said the issue of (Major National Coalition of Afghanistan) has been finalized and it will soon declare existence in capital Kabul.


The chief executive of Jamiat-e Islami part Ata M. Noor said the issue of (Major National Coalition of Afghanistan) has been finalized and it will soon declare existence in capital Kabul.

“Discussions over creating a (Major National Coalition of Afghanistan) finalized at a meeting in Ankara, and the Coalition will officially declare existence in the capital of the country soon,” Ata M. Noor wrote on his Facebook page.

“Elders from Loya Kandahar, Loya Paktia, Loya Mashriqi councils centered on the powerful political parties of Afghanistan (Jamiat-e Islami, Junbish-e Milli, and Wahdat parties) including councils and institutions that previously were members of “National Coalition for the Salvation of Afghanistan” will be present in this coalition,” Mr. Noor said.

According to him, the coalition will work to strengthen and reform the government as well as having the main role in the parliamentary and district councils, and presidential elections.

The chief executive of the Jamiat-e Islami and a senior member of the coalition added: “This coalition tries to make the elections transparent, fair and free of fraud. Another goal is to support the peace process, ensure stability in the country, and other important issues regarding the national interests.”

A few days ago, some political elders were in Turkey invited by Gen. Dostum and the outcome of the meeting is a coalition that will soon declare existence in Kabul.
