Mastermind of Kabul University attack Arrested: Saleh

First VP Amrullah Saleh says the mastermind of the terrorist attack on Kabul University has been arrested. According to him, Adel, son of Mohammad Arif, is the mastermind of the attack, who is originally from Panjshir province but his family lives in Pul-e-Charkhi.
VP Amrullah Saleh said on Saturday morning that “the person who attacked Kabul University is Adel. He was the third-year student of Sharia Faculty of Kabul University, who then, recruited by Sanaullah, a member of the Haqqani network”.

According to Saleh, those who have conducted the attack on Kabul University have multiple-identities: Hizb ut-Tahrir – Taliban – ISIS, and all. They used a specific title whenever needed.
“He (Adel) says that he was told to do something to put the government under pressure. It (government) should become infamous, weak, and inefficient in public opinion. He was told that this would not be possible by carrying out an operation on military targets,” said Mr. Saleh, adding that “Adel is originally from Panjshir province and his family lives in Pul-e-Charkhi”.

According to him, people in their neighborhood say he had been missing for three years.
“He (Adel) says he got the weapon from the Haqqani network in the Khost province and was guided by Sanaullah,” Saleh added.
On 2 November, gunmen stormed Kabul University, killing 22 and injuring 27 others.
