National Consensus Government; Alternative to Ruling Monopoly and Tyranny
The initiative emphasizes on putting an end to devastating war, establishing a lasting peace, political participation of all ethnic groups in the country, breaking up the monopoly of the current government and oppressive political tyranny.
“National Consensus government” declared existence at a major conference on 20 Feb. in capital Kabul. Dozens of independent political figures, political movements and parties attended the conference.
The initiative of “National Consensus government” was suggested by “National Consensus and Change” political movement, and is considered an alternative to monopoly, the ruling political tyranny and National Unity Government (NUG) as it has failed in all management and political fields.
The initiative emphasizes on putting an end to devastating war, establishing a lasting peace, political participation of all ethnic groups in the country, breaking up the monopoly of the current government and oppressive political tyranny.
“The NUG no longer has the little legitimacy it used to have, and this is a failed government for people which does nothing but dividing the ethnic groups and monopolizing power,” said Sayed Ali Reza Mahmoodi, a member of the “National Consensus and Change” leadership council at the conference.
“How a president who is not able to solve the problem of his spokesmen, a president who cannot solve the problem of his office secretary, a president whose chief of administrative office had to go abroad and write his resignation, can rule a country,” Mr. Mahmoodi added referring to Ashraf Ghani’s monopolistic policies.
“The time for NUG remain less than four months, and the plan of this opposition is to move from the existing crisis, improving the current situation until a legitimate government based on the people’s vote come to power,” The member of the National Consensus and Change leadership council underlined, “if the Afghan people sink in the current crisis, the International Community and the U.S will sink as well.
Meanwhile, Fazal Rahman Oria, another member of the opposition’s leadership council warned that “if the government is thinking of fraud in the upcoming election, the people will stand up against it.”
“The International Community should help with the Afghan people and prevent the ARG palace’s interference in the election, in order to bring transparency,” M. Oria said.
Mohammad Nateqi, the acting head of Hezb-e Wahdat-e Mardom (Mohaqiq faction) said he believes in the parliamentary election, but the main problem is the presidential election.
“We demand reforms in electoral commissions and will not accept election fraud once again,” Nateqi said.
On the other hand, the head of Nehzat-e Islami Mawlawi Mukhtar Mufleh accused the government of raising terrorists.
“The government should not be pleased with its foreign bosses, because the people who were able to defeat the Russians also defeat the US,” he said.
Nizamuddin Fetrat Baloch, another leadership member of the National Consensus and Change said the government’s incompetency arose such problems.
“The incompetency of NUG’s leaders has raised current crisis and forming the National Consensus government, is the only solution,” Mr. Baloch said. “The current government faces a lack of legal legitimacy and discriminatory behaviors domain the government and always think of plotting against legal and political figures.”
Ana Shahi Murad, the deputy of Junbish-e Milli party said: “the status of NUG is getting worse and worse every day, and the state’s leaders burn the people with their inappropriate policies.”
Similarly, Mawlawi Abdul Qadir Qanet, a leadership member of the National consensus and Change said standing against a tyrant government, is an Islamic and conscience duty of citizens.
“The National Consensus and Change initiative is a good solution to eliminate political, military, and social crisis in the country,” he added.
