In an extraordinary decree, the Afghan presidency appointed three new deputies to the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).
According to the decree, Dr. Shafiqullah Shahim has been appointed as deputy minister of finance and administration, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Normal as deputy director of policy and plan, and Dr. Vahid Majrouh as deputy director of health services.
There have already been changes in some ministries, provinces and public directorates as well.
Afghan is embroiled in COVID-19 crisis, and the performance of the MoPH, during this period, is considered more vital than ever.
