NSA Mohib Meets EU Special Envoy and Danish Ambassador

Afghan National Security Adviser (NSA) Hamdullah Mohib discussed Afghan led peace process with European Union special envoy to Afghanistan ambassador Roland Kobia and Nicolaj Petersen, the Danish ambassador to Kabul on Tuesday, ONSC said in a statement.

Mr. Mohib discussed Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process during a meeting with EU envoy for Afghanistan.
“Discussions were focused on EU’s support to the Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process,” the office of NSC said in a statement.

In a separate meeting with Danish ambassador to Kabul Nicolaj Petersen, the two sides discussed joint cooperation, Afghan peace process, and the state-building process.
Danish ambassador retreated his country’s continues cooperation with Afghanistan, saying that Denmark will provide comprehensive support to Afghanistan’s government-run programs.
Peace and stability in Afghanistan is possible through inta-Afghan talks and the Afghan Taliban should directly talk with the Afghan government, the ambassador added.

NSA welcomed Denmark’s cooperation with Afghanistan, especially in the field of state-building and accentuated on strengthening ties between the two countries.
