OIC Stresses on investing in Science & Technology
OIC member states’ leaders emphasized on investing in the fields of science and technology.
After the approval of the first statement by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states’ leaders in the field of science and technology, Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev vowed: “the statement stresses on the need for investment in the field of science and technology by the Islamic countries.”
OIC member states in this statement passed the implementation of the proposal on development of science, technology, and innovation by the end of 2026. Quoted from Anadolu.
The leaders at the meeting agreed on the need to further strengthening cultural, educational and scientific affairs in the Muslim world, as well as facilitating the recruitment of experts, the mutual acceptance of university encyclopedias, and the establishment of joint political mechanisms in new areas of technology and projects among the member states.
On the other hand, a ceremony to award scholars of the Islamic world was also held within the framework of OIC member states’ summit.
