ONSC Comments on HRW’s report

Afghanistan’s Office of National Security Council (ONSC) says in a statement that it will evaluate Human Rights Watch (HRW) report and will provide a thorough response soon.

Afghanistan’s Office of National Security Council (ONSC) says in a statement that it will evaluate Human Rights Watch (HRW) report and will provide a thorough response soon.
HRW on Thursday released a report, saying that CIA-backed forces have committed summary executions and other grave abuses without accountability.

According to the report, CIA-backed forces killed civilians during night raids, forcibly disappeared detainees, and attacked healthcare facilities for allegedly treating insurgent fighters.

Afghan ONSC, meanwhile, said in a statement that although the report has reflected some realities, there is some information that requires clarification.
“We have expressed our clear stance on the issues, articulated in the report and adopted measures to address them. We are undertaking further reform initiatives to enable us to deal, said the statement. “Although the report has reflected some realities, there is some information that requires clarification,” the statement added.

The ONSC further said that it is evaluating the report and will provide thorough response in the near future.
