Overcoming Human rights Crisis in Afghanistan Depends on Change in International Community’s Approach – National Resistance Council
DID Press: On the occasion of the International Human Rights Day, National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan said overcoming the existing human rights crisis in Afghanistan requires change in the international community’s approach towards Afghanistan.
National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan, in a statement published on its website on Sunday, considered human rights as a heavenly component that is emphasized in various religions.
“Unfortunately, humanity is celebrating the International Human Rights Day while a nation is practically deprived of all its fundemental rights as a result of a shameful agreement to meet the geopolitical goals of global actors in front of the astonished eyes of the institutions in charge of human rights,” read the statement.
The council said that the world is celebrating the International Human Rights Day while “the people of Afghanistan are deprived of their fundemental rights based on the right to vital immunity, the right to self-determination, the right to freedom of expression, the right to education and work, and the right to determine their political destiny to choose a political system. They have been deprived of their desired political system by the Taliban with their ignorant interpretation of the concepts of culture and religion”.
“Celebrating the World Human Rights Day, while parts of the world, including our country, are suffering due to acts of oppression and human rights violations, and people are unable to protect their human existence, is a question that bothers the collective conscience of humanity,” added the statement.
This political movement underlined that the “change” in the human rights situation of the people of Afghanistan depends on a fundamental change in the the international community’s approach towards Afghanistan.
