Pakistani FS Arrives in Kabul for APAPPS
A 28-member delegation led by Foreign Secretary (FS) Tehmina Janjua on Sunday arrived in Kabul for Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity’s (APAPPS) inaugural session.
A 28-member delegation led by Foreign Secretary (FS) Tehmina Janjua on Sunday arrived in Kabul for Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity’s (APAPPS) inaugural session.
The FS, while speaking to the media, said that the delegation’s presence in Kabul two days before the general elections in Pakistan “shows our commitment to APAPPS”, according to Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal. Pakistan Today reported.
The FS said, “For example, with US support, Pakistan and Afghanistan entered into a constructive dialogue to develop.” The report added.
During a visit to Afghanistan last month, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa had said that the APAPPS would bring increased cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
