Afghan parliament during Saturday session reacted against the government, saying the government should inform the parliament about the details of the peace process.
The House of Representatives said hidden peace is unacceptable.
In response to lack of details being provided by the government, the head of House of Representatives Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi said that we would definitely not accept a peace that is dull and that all the details are hidden.
“The parliament considers peace a necessity in the country, but the House of Representatives should be informed about the peace negotiation process,” Mr Ibrahimi added.
He emphasized that the representatives of people should know the proposals of the government and the Taliban for peace, and the government should answer the question of the people.
The head of the House of Representatives further said officials of the High Peace Council (HPC) will be called to the parliament by next session to answer the questions about the details of the peace process.
However, attempts to bring Taliban to negotiation table underway as extending the ceasefire by the government is part of the efforts.
