Personal Idea or Campaign for Specific Person Not Included in Jirga’s Declaration

Abdul Rab Rasul Sayyaf, the head of peace consultative Jirga says that the commitment is to reflect the people’s opinion in the consultative Jirga, not the support and campaign for a particular person as he has been accused of collusion with the government by critics.

“This Jirga is not for imposing a personal idea on the people and those personal opinions won’t be in Jirga’s declaration,” said Abdul Rab Rasul Sayyaf on Thursday in Kabul.
Mr Sayyaf underlined during the session of Jirga’s 50 committees that the Jirga will seek ways for peace.

The members of the consultative Jirga on Wednesday discussed four main questions and briefed their works in the Jirga’s tent on Thursday.
The consultative Jira was opened Monday with 3200 delegates in attendance and president Ghani appointed Mr Sayyaf as chief of the Jirga.
