President Ghani Arrives in Kapisa
President Ashraf Ghani, at the head of a high-level delegation, arrived in Mahmoud Raqi city, the capital of Kapisa province on Wednesday morning to review its general security status.

“During the visit, President Ghani besides meeting civil and military officials of Kapisa province, will address a grand public assembly which will be attended by elders, influential people, scholars, women, youth and representatives of various segments of the population,” the presidential palace said in a statement. Adding that “he will listen to their requests and suggestions”.
A few days ago, Mr Ghani visited Logar province.
Kapisa is one of the most insecure provinces in the northeast of Kabul and has always witnessed attacks by the Taliban.
