President Ghani Meets Uzbek Delegation

President M. Ashraf Ghani on Sunday met with the visiting Uzbek delegation and discussed a range of issues, Arg said in a statement.


President M. Ashraf Ghani on Sunday met with the visiting Uzbek delegation and discussed a range of issues, Arg said in a statement.
“(They) discussed the peace process, regional connectivity, infrastructure projects as well as trade and transit between the two countries,” the statement said.

The office of Afghan National Security Council (NSC) also said in a statement that NSA Hamdullah Mohib met with Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov at his office and discussed bilateral and regional issues.
“The two sides discussed bilateral relations, regional issues, security, the peace process, and counterterrorism efforts,” the NSC office said in a statement.

During the meeting Uzbek Foreign Minister Kamilov reaffirmed that Uzbekistan supports Afghan-led, Intra-Afghan peace process and ready to host meetings on Afghan Peace.
Mr Mohib thanked Uzbekistan for supporting peace talks.
