In relation to the detention of Alipur, Resolute Support Mission (RSM) in Kabul said we do not have any role in this case.
This comes as rumors spread that Alipur was arrested by the RSM forces, citing the head of National Security Directorate M. Masoom Stanekzai.
On Sunday night, after the representatives of protesters and M. Masoom Stanekzai met with the country’s second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danish, rumors spread that Alipur was arrested by the RSM forces.
The Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan reacted against the rumors, saying we do not have a role in this case at all.
“with regard to the arrest of Alipur: Resolute Support does not get involved in internal Afghan investigations. We do not have a role in this case at all,” RSM wrote on Twitter.
On Sunday, Hundreds of Alipur’s supporters came out on the streets and protested over his detention.
The protest dragged to the second day on Monday as the protest rally turned violent. The protesters demand the release of Alipur as soon as possible.
Commander Alipur is accused by the government of persecuting some residents of the central regions, but his supporters say he was fighting against the Taliban.
