In relation to the activities of Daesh terror group in northern provinces of Afghanistan, the representative of Jawzjan people at the parliament says, Abdul Aziz Yuldash son of Tahir Yuldash – leader of the Islamic movement of Uzbekistan – has taken the leadership of ISIL terror group in Jawzjan province.

“Abdul Aziz Yuldash took the responsibility in Jawzjan province since ISIL leader killed in clashes between Taliban and Daesh fighters,” said Abdul Sattar Darzabi, representative of Jawzjan people at the parliament.
“Abdul Aziz Yuldash has taken “Qush Tapa,” “Qurchi,” “Astana Baba,” “Belcheragh,” and “Kata kala” regions and now plans to capture Fabrika area,” Mr. Darzabi added.
According to him, Daesh terror group plans to take the control of many regions in Jawzjan and Faryab provinces, and its fighters are currently fighting with armed Taliban in some areas of Jawzjan, Faryab, and Sar-e Pul provinces.

Mr. Darzabi says, currently ISIL and Taliban affiliated groups launched arm race in Jawzjan province and both groups have access to modern advanced weapons.
“Daesh terror group carries out military maneuvers in the province that have heavily scared the people,” the representative of the parliament stressed.
Mr. Darzabi accuses the national unity government and security institutions of being silent against the threats and not suppress Daesh and Taliban fighters in Jawzjan, Faryab, and Sar-e Pul provinces.
Jawzjan governor Lutfullah Azizi had previously told DID press agency that “Daesh terror group has forced thousands of people to leave their homes in districts of the province and shut down dozens of schools.”

This comes as the Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov had expressed concerns over ISIL terror group gaining ground in northern parts of Afghanistan.
“Northern Afghanistan is turning into the main base for international terrorism with the Afghan wing of the Islamic State in the lead,” he said. “It is forming a springboard for heinous designs in the spirit of the notorious ideology of a caliphate.”

In all, according to political analysts, northern provinces of Afghanistan turned to an opportunity for international terrorism due to the negligence of the Afghan central government.
