New York Times said the issue quoting some Taliban leaders and government officials.
Zabihullah Mujahid, who introduce himself as the Taliban spokesperson told New York Times that it has been ordered on the members of the group to stop suicide attacks in the cities which may result in civilian death.
“we did not have suicide bombing since the beginning of the ceasefire in Kabul city. Our high-level officials warned us and obey their commands,” said Mujahid.
Meanwhile, the deputy spokesman for the presidency Shah Hussain Mortazavi emphasized that suicide bombings reduced in the cities but it has not ended.
The spokesperson for the Taliban group stressed they do not leave suicide attacks and will use it outside the cities against the targets.
According to him, the group has not yet set aside suicide attacks.
