Taliban Delegation Arrives in Uzbekistan
A Taliban delegation led by the co-founder of the group Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar arrived in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen said.

According to him, During the trip, the Taliban negotiators will discuss the Afghan peace process with the Uzbek officials.
The trip is said to have been taking place to pave the way for an intra-Afghan negotiation.
Last August, a Taliban delegation led by Abbas Stanekzai visited Uzbekistan and discussed the peace process with Uzbek diplomats.
Although the group has denied to directly talk with the Afghan government, the group’s representatives have met with a number of Afghan politicians in Doha twice.
The Taliban delegation is visiting Uzbekistan while Zalmay Khalilzad is in New Delhi, pushing for an international consensus on the Afghan peace process.
US and Taliban have held 8 rounds of peace talks in Doha since Mr Khalilzad appointed as the US special representative on the Afghan peace process.
