Afghan National Security Council (NSC) announced that 25 civilians were killed in Taliban operations during the second week of holy Ramadan month.
“During the second week of Ramadan, 25 civilians were killed in 18 provinces and 74 others were wounded – a 33 percent increase over the previous week,” NSC said in a statement.
According to the statement, this means the lives of civilians are of no value to the Taliban.
The NSC had previously released the statistics of civilian casualties by Taliban violence following the signing of peace deal with the US.
Taliban, meanwhile, rejected the statement.
