Attending an online press conference previewing the NATO defense ministerial discussions on Tuesday, the SG said NATO will continue to adjust its presence to support the peace process.
“NATO will continue to adjust our presence in support of peace process but for peace to succeed, Taliban must live up to their commitments, reduce violence, break all bonds with Al-Qaeda and other international terrorist groups and engage in intra-Afghan talks in good faith,” Mr Stoltenberg stressed.

The SG added that there have been some progress in Afghanistan and some reduction in violence, but the situation in Afghanistan is fragile.
