Sources within the Afghan government said the new Taliban office will be opened in Tashkent, the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will pursue peace talks with the government and its foreign allies.
“the Taliban office in Doha will remain open as their new office will open in Tashkent as well as a new office will be opened in Dubai for the group,” said Asadullah Barakzai, the deputy to the High Peace Council (HPC).
The meeting of US officials with Taliban’s political representatives in Doha has paved the way for Afghanistan’s conflict and peace prospects.
Sources close to Taliban group confirmed the opening of two new offices for the group in Tashkent and Dubai, saying that “the office in Doha will be a training center, the Dubai office will be a communicating place and the political work of the group will be carried out in Tashkent office.”
It is worth mentioning that the Taliban group is busy consulting on opening new offices in Tashkent and Dubai, but has not announced their final decision yet.
