UAE Crown Prince Arrives in Islamabad

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) crown prince arrived in Islamabad, capital of Pakistan on Sunday morning for a long-day visit.
Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces, arrived in Pakistan Sunday on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s invitation.
According to a press release by the Pakistani Foreign Office, the Abu Dhabi crown prince will have a one-on-one meeting with the prime minister, followed by delegation-level talks. Geo TV reported.

This is the third interaction between the leadership of Pakistan and UAE in less than three months. UAE is Pakistan’s largest trading partner in the Middle East and a major source of investments. It is home to more than 1.6 million expatriate community which contributes around $4.5 billion annually to the GDP, the press release added.

It is worth mentioning that Abu Dhabi has recently hosted a peace meeting on Afghanistan between the Taliban representatives and the US officials. Pakistan and Saudi Arabian had attended the meeting as well.
Kabul deployed a delegation to Abu Dhabi for direct talks with the Taliban representatives, but the group refused to meet the delegation.
