US Ambassador Meets Mohaqiq

The US ambassador to Kabul John Bass met with the second deputy to the Executive Directorate of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Monday afternoon.



The US ambassador to Kabul John Bass met with the second deputy to the Executive Directorate of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Monday afternoon.
During the meeting, both sides discussed security issues, parliamentary and districts elections and the role of political parties in the election.
The US ambassador to Afghanistan John Bass expressed concerns over the lack of popular interest in the election and called on the government and political leaders to work for the transparency of the election.

Meanwhile, the deputy to the executive directorate Mohammad Mohaqiq said: “political, security and social conditions in the country are in dire status, to curb the disintegration, it is necessary for the political parties, tribes and teams within the government to have positive interaction to save the country”.

Mohaqiq emphasized that NUG should be committed to the framework of the agreements, considered some unilateral measures contrary to the national interests.
The second deputy of the executive directorate supported the partial ceasefire between the government and Taliban.
