US-Taliban Deal Signed

The US-Taliban peace agreement signed moments ago by US Special envoy on Afghan peace Zalmay Khalilzad and the head of Taliban political office Mullah Baradar in Doha.

The US-Taliban peace agreement signed moments ago by US Special envoy on Afghan peace Zalmay Khalilzad and the head of Taliban political office Mullah Baradar in Doha.

Representatives of over 30 countries and international organizations attended the signing ceremony as observers.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his Qatari counterpart were present at the US-Taliban peace deal ceremony.

Based on the deal, foreign forces will leave Afghanistan within 14 months and Taliban also committed to start intra-Afghan dialogue.

However, some parties expressed concerns regarding Taliban sincerity in implementing the provisions of the peace deal.
Washington says that the agreement is conditioned-based and next steps depends on Taliban performance.

Meanwhile, Afghan NSA Hamdullah Mohib said that there some points in US-Taliban peace deal which is not acceptable to Afghan government.
